Banning a Word

A story from a few days ago: the mayor of a Texas town considered banning the "N word" (let's just be mature and say it - "nigger" - this isn't the Dark Lord Voldemort we're dealing with).

The very idea of banning a word from public usage with a fine for breaking the law is ridiculous. "Nigger" isn't a nice word and I certainly wouldn't use it regularly, but at the end of the day it's a WORD, for pete's sake. You simply can't infringe on people's right to use a word, however repellent you may find it.

Interestingly, one must consider how this would affect the town's black population, as many black people use the phrase, "Wassup, my nigger?" or derivations thereof as greetings in common speech. Would they get fined, too? That, of course brings us round to the topic of how "offensive" the word can really be when blacks use it themselves, but that's just pernickity, right?

A Case of National Security?

I received an email this morning from these guys. They call themselves National Security Bloggers and said they found my site while searching for blogs that write about national security issues, and asked me if I wanted to sign up.

I'm not sure how this blog's subject matter qualifies as "national security" issues; my posts on Islamic terrorism are sparse at best, and after a search through their site I can't find any links to any of my posts. So I'm afraid I'll have to decline their offer, although it is nice to know that someone has actually read this site at least once.

Another "Racist" Party

Following this story I posted on the 25th, another American university party is being investigated for racism.

Note the completely shocked reaction from the students involved. Once again the "racist" police terrorise innocent people for imagined hatred while the ACTUAL hate crimes committed by Muslim terrorists are shrugged off as the product of our foreign policy and therefore no one's responsibility but our own.

Poogrimage To Mecca

We got some lovely dhimmitude goin' on in London:

Toilets in one London prison are getting a face-lift — or rather, a change in direction — to accommodate Muslim inmates who can’t use them while facing Mecca, a British newspaper reported.

Government officials ackowledged using tax dollars for the changes to the facilities, but maintained that moving the toilets was part of “on-going refurbishment,” according to an article in The Sun.

Islamic code prohibits Muslims from facing or turning their backs on the direction of prayer when they use the bathroom. Muslim prisoners complained of having to sit sideways on toilets so as to not break code.

Faith leaders in the government pressured officials to approve turning the toilets 90 degrees at HMP Brixton in London.

Apologies for the crass and generally pretty shoddy title.

Round-up

- A longtime school district official is suing the Board of Education for alleged reverse discrimination, claiming the board puts race above qualifications in its hiring practices.

Ben Mora, who is white, claims the board has “demonstrated a clear pattern of discrimination against Caucasians and in favor of minority candidates for key administrative positions over approximately the last 15 years,” according to the lawsuit filed last week.

Hmmm, not much media coverage of this one, is there? Oh yeah, that's because he's white.

- English football is facing a fresh wake-up call in the fight against racism today with the Commission for Racial Equality set to demand more action to encourage the development of black managers and Asian players.

Here we go again with this ludicrous idea that we should specifically concentrate on getting one group of people more "included" in a certain field. It's been suggested in pretty much every other walk of life, including the police force and in hospitals. Why can't these people stomach the idea that one "race" has more football managers than another? I'm all for anyone with genuine talent coming forward and proving themselves at the highest level, but whether they are black or not doesn't concern me. There is no reason why all races have to be included equally. Why should we FORCE (ahem, "encourage") the demographic to change when we can just let the natural flow of things continue? Are they suggesting the lack of black managers is somehow deliberate?

Multicult Causes Radicalism

Shock, horror; as a new report finds that Britain's multiculturalist society encourages young Muslims to become radicalised. Nearly 40% of them want Sharia law in Britain, while 13% "admire" Al Qua'eda because they "fight the West".

The funny thing is, these statistics aren't new. Nor are the sentiments regarding multiculturalism, which have been circulating around the conservative blogosphere since 7/7 and beyond. The fact that it takes the mainstream media, even a supposedly "right-wing" paper like the Mail, this long to draw the same conclusion based on a report which doesn't contain any surprising facts, demonstrates how far journalism has sunk in this country.

Genocide Memorial Day?

Bolton Council has scrapped its Holocaust Memorial Day in favour of a generic Genocide Memorial Day at the behest of the supposedly "moderate" Muslim Council of Britain.

In fact, the MCB is far from moderate and has in the past incited Muslims to "take the law into their own hands" over supposed wrongs against them by the UK police force and tried to impose Muslim values, including arranged marriage, on our country. Now they refuse to allow the slaughter of millions of Jews to be commemorated.

Absolutely disgusting move by Bolton Council.

Yet MORE in the Big Brother Saga...

Having just been evicted from Big Brother, Jo O'Meara has had to defend herself against claims of racism.

Really, this is just getting more and more absurd. She was in S Club 7 with a black guy, for pete's sake!

Trouble at the Goodies'

In a move that almost defies belief, the police have been knocking on Jade Goody's door hoping to interview her and her mother about their bullying of Shilpa Shetty.

I don't expect any revelations of Jade's family history with the BNP to surface.

Chinese Ban Pig Adverts

Next month it will be the Chinese New Year. The upcoming year will be the Year of the Pig.

And now the Chinese have banned all depictions of pigs in TV commercials over the New Year period in order not to offend their Muslim population.

In the Qu'ran, non-Christians living in a Sharia state were known as "dhimmis". They were made to live like second-class citizens, pay extra taxes, denied many of the rights Muslims were allowed. They were essentially slaves to Islam.

In the modern day, we have a new set of dhimmis, who in a different way are also slaves of Islam. They are the ones who bend over backwards to accommodate Muslims in a way they do not repeat for any other religious group, the ones who do everything in their power not to "offend" them. They do not say a word about the intolerance displayed by large sections of Islam, which is in fact the reason why they have to bend over for them, knowing that if they don't their physical safety may well be threatened. They refuse to admit or realise the un-PC truths of Islam. They are the Islamic terrorists' number one friends in the West (and East and South and North).

If only they knew how much encouragement they are giving to those who wish to see us subjugated under their barbaric rule. Aside from the terrorists, they are the worst enemies of the free world.

Too right it is. Muslims are blowing themselves up in the biggest displays of hatred this country has ever seen, and meanwhile many Brits are miffed at the Government's lack of control over immigration and inability to stop or even recognise the Jihad influx. Apache Indian just hit the nail right on the head for all the wrong reasons.

Racism X 2

Two racism stories today:

1. A South African school is investigating supposed racism by some of its teachers after 80 pupils asked to be transferred to another school. Apparently they made comments such as "coloureds are rubbish and have no manners".

If these accusations are true, it's racism, no doubt about it, and the teachers should be disciplined. Although part of me wonders why black people can't just rise above this sort of thing instead of rebelling and going to another school.


2. An advert for the cricket series between India and the West Indies "shows the Caribbeans being heckled in India".

This is a non-story. As far as I can tell (and the article is very vague) this is simply the usual light-hearted heckling fans of opposing teams engage in during cricket and other sports events. Not much more to say on that.

More 4

Following the supposed "racism" towards Shilpa Shetty on Big Brother, Channel 4 has been inundated with complaints again for its reality show "Shipwrecked", after one of the contestants admitted that they would like to see slavery come back to Britain. Again, it's racism, you understand.

The thing with this is that it's basically one crazy comment among a lot of innocuous stuff. The slavery comments are ridiculous - NO ONE in the world should have to live as a slave to someone else, whether they are of a difference race or not. The rest is simple conservative values regarding immigration and multiculturalism. There is nothing offensive about the belief that immigrants to this country should assimilate to our culture; that is what conservatives have always been saying. It's not racist. The slavery comments might be construed as racist; I am not going to defend or condone those words; they are wrong.

But look what else she said:

I don't like fat people, I don't really like really ugly people...

Why doesn't anyone care about this bit? Why are the racial parts all anyone cares about? Is this not discrimination, too; and is it not IDENTICAL in weight to the racism? In fact, is it not STRONGER than the racism, since she never at any point said that she "didn't like" foreigners? Why is racism consistently elevated above all other forms of discrimination by the media?

Independence Day

The movie "Independence Day" was on Sky this evening.

Damn, that's a great film. It's SUCH a load of unrealistic and nonsensical Hollywood rubbish, but it's done so well that I just couldn't help but enjoy it. It is easily my favourite "popcorn" film of all time; pure brain candy and fantastically directed. That scene where the alien craft hover into place over all the major cities always gives me chills, and the final battle scene is just breakneck excitement executed perfectly.

There are some who are too snobbish to appreciate such films; for them, everything has to have a "deep and profound" (read "hokey and pretentious") message and Oscar-winning standards of acting. Others, like me, however, are quite capable of enjoying Hollywood entertainment in its purest form. Independence Day is an example of this for me, and I love it.

OK, Dutch gothic metallers Within Temptation now, with "The Howling", a song from their new, soon-to-be-released album. This is a promotional video for a computer game which features the song.

I didn't love this band before this. I found them OK and liked some of their songs, but I've now heard two of the new songs and really like them both, so I may well be becoming a fan when "The Heart of Everything" comes out sometime this year.

Classism; not Racism

Carphone Warehouse has pulled its sponsorship of Celebrity Big Brother with immediate effect as a result of the "racist" bullying of Shilpa Shetty.

It's simple. Even Shetty realises that this is not racism - it is classism. Jade Goody and the other women on the show are thick commoners; Shetty is a classy, beautiful, successful actress...they are jealous, pure and simple. Race has nothing to do with it; they might have made some racial comments, but only because they are grasping at straws and because they are so ignorant. "Do you live in a shack or a house?" is not racist; it is just pure ignorance; she genuinely doesn't know whether Indian people live in houses or shacks. Ignorance isn't a crime or an offense. End of story.

These kinds of vicious attacks happen on Big Brother all the time. So why, when they are perceived to be racist, is such a a fuss suddenly made about it?

Race at School

These statistics I came across today show how in 2004 Chinese people were the most likely to get at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs. Similarly, the most likely to get expelled from school were Black Carribbeans, while Bangladeshis and Pakistanis were most likely to leave school with no qualifications.

It is fascinating to read how different races do in these kinds of things. I wonder: should there be any kind of research into WHY Black Carribbeans are expelled from school or Pakistanis are likely to have no qualifications? Is it ethical, fair and reasonable, and if so should these particular groups be given more attention?

And what can we learn from the Chinese?

Shet Happens

Channel 4 received a record number of complaints after some contestants on Celebrity Big Brother, including Jade Goody, apparently made fun of and bullied Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. And of course, there was some racism in there, too. Apparently they made fun of her accent and made a couple of really weak comments which vaguely made reference to her race.

What have we come to when this many people who don't know this woman from Sheeva phone in to complain about some things they heard said about her on the TV? One person even phoned the police. In no way is any form of bullying acceptable or to be condoned, but that's ALL it is: bullying, at the very most. The idea of racism in this case is absurd. What these people don't realise is that bullies take whatever attributes they can to pick on, and in this case it just HAPPENED to be Shilpa's race. It's not right, but there are no sinister undertones to it. No one showed any hatred or violent intent. Get over it.

And while we're on the subject of controversy, we may want to check out Shetty's family's connections with the Indian Mafia.

MHS (Muslim Health Service)?

I see a leading "expert" (Islamic, of course) has suggested that the NHS should provide more faith-based care for Muslims, as they are "about twice as likely to report poor health and disability than the general population", apparently.

Naturally, the BBC makes no effort to investigate or explain this statement. I would say that if Muslims ARE genuinely unhealthier than regular Britons this could be because of the seeming blindness of Sharia towards marrying close relatives. Indeed, Mohammed himself played an active part in getting his daughter married to his own cousin. Such interbreeding naturally wreaks all sorts of genetic problems. A reluctance to join the 21st Century in general in favour of primitive Islamic doctrine is a major factor.

But the BBC wouldn't tell us something like THAT, would they?

Racist Assault...And The Media Isn't Interested

15 year-old Henry Webster had his skull fractured when he was attacked with a hammer by a gang of Asian youths. Now the parents are angry because they claim the attack was racist.

Do you notice anything here? Why isn't this front page news? Stephen Lawrence was. Anthony Walker was. OK, I know they both died whereas luckily Henry Webster didn't, but this is a vicious and brutal assault with clear racist undertones to it. Why was it relegated 15 pages into the Daily Mail? Why not make a fuss about this?

Simple. The attack was by a minority on a white boy. Our media aren't interested unless a white man despicably kills a black man in cold blood. As far as they are concerned, racist violence only matters when it's the other way around.

It doesn't even matter if this attack WAS racist or just a random act of thuggery. Just a black boy being found dead is enough to suggest to the media that he was killed by a racist. Even if, just like Damilola Taylor, it DOES turn out to have been manslaughter by two black boys. Yet we couldn't hear enough about how the killing was "racist" to begin with, even with no evidence. Somehow, the papers thought racist murder was worse than regular murder.

But when Asians attack white people...meh.

Religious Discrimination - Against Christians

A school provoked fury last night by ordering a devout Catholic schoolgirl to remove her cross necklace because it posed a health and safety risk.

Teachers demanded Samantha Devine remove her chain and tiny crucifix despite allowing Muslim and Sikh pupils to wear symbols of their religion.

Her family have vowed to fight the decision "all the way" claiming it discriminates against Christians.

But...

Her furious family yesterday pointed out the school - Robert Napier in Gillingham, Kent - allows Muslim pupils to wear headscarves and Sikh students to come to lessons with turbans and bangles.

Samantha even claims staff routinely fail to crack down on youngsters wearing non-religious jewellery, including large necklaces and earrings.

Here we have a case which is typical of modern Britain. While Muslims are allowed to do whatever the hell they like, Christians are persecuted. And this is in a country with Christian history. The excuse the school made is that the ban was for "health and safety reasons" (huh?) but it is clear what this really is...plain old discrimination against totally innocent Christian schoolgirls.

Germany Pushing For Muslims to Integrate

I see Germany is trying to encourage Muslims to integrate better into its culture.

This is exactly what Britain should be doing. Unfortunately our Government is too gutless and clueless to take any such action.

The Kosher Tax

OK, back on topic...

Much has been made on some conservative blogs recently about this video from "White Nationalist News", which shows a racist anti-Semite complaining about how food producers pay special money and tax us in order to have a rabbi "bless the food" to make sure it's kosher for Jews to eat.

Now, whilst I am not denying that this guy is going over-the-top - and yeah, being racist - I really don't see the need for the hysteria. Even the usually sound Little Green Footballs called this a "vile video" and had plenty of pretty angry commenters when the link to the vid was posted.

But so what? This really isn't that alarming. He isn't calling for anyone to be killed; it isn't the total hatefest that is sometimes heard from White Nationalists.

And more importantly, I think this is where some of my conservative brethren can show themselves to be quite hypocritical. What we see in this video is far tamer than some of the blogosphere's (including mine) attacks on and criticisms of Islam. I know that criticising any religion or expressing distaste with some aspect of life related to them isn't racist, but bloggers like Charles of LGF do not hold back when talking about Islam or some of its practicioners in a negative light. I'm pretty certain that if this man was sitting there talking about how food companies go out of their way to cater to the needs of the Muslim community LGF and its regulars would be up in arms complaining of dhimmitude and unfair treatment. Yet whenever anyone is remotely critical of Jews they scream "anti-Semitism".

This guy may be a racist and wrong, but come on, people; let it go, you're showing double standards and that's supposed to be primarily for leftists.

Jackson Won't Do "Hobbit"

I think it's time we had an off-topic post here after a week of that other stuff...

Peter Jackson will DEFINATELY not be making The Hobbit into a movie while New Line co-chairman Bob Shaye is in office. Jackson has been in constant dispute with New Line over money from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

It's simple: either they make the movie with him at the helm or they don't make it at all. Without his directorship many of the stars will refuse to sign up and that will just ruin the whole thing. Can you imagine Gandalf being played by a different actor?

I really wish these childish idiots would just give Jackson the money he is owed, but then again they are fat cats and with them greed always comes before professionalism.

Caliphate Down Under

This lovely Muslim man had some wonderful stuff to say about Australia:

AUSTRALIA'S controversial mufti Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilali has landed himself in hot water again, this time by saying Australian Muslims are more entitled to the country than those with a convict heritage.

Speaking in Arabic on Egyptian television Sheik al-Hilali said, according to a Seven Network translation, that white Australians arrived in the country shackled as convicts.

"We (Muslims) came as free people. We bought our own tickets. We are entitled to Australia more than they are,'' he said.

Yobs And the Black Community

I was at Greenwich train station today and there were three black teenagers there, clear troublemakers. They were shouting, swearing, hocking hideous gouts of phlegm onto the railway tracks, and being generally rowdy. They were your typical "yobs".

Now, I suppose you're wondering what the fact that they were black has to do with anything. The answer is that in this case it doesn't, particularly. It's more a sign of today's youth in general than anything else.

But it got me thinking. There is no doubt that the black community - particularly in America - is accustomed to more than it's fair share of violence and thuggery. Black ghettos are some of the most dangerous places in the urban world, barring warzones. Well known black rappers such as 50 Cent will testify to the fact that they grew up in rough neighbourhoods where no one quite has any standards of civility.

But in modern times, we appear to be seeing this culture spreading to other demographics. Those white teenagers we would now class as "chavs" are quite obviously imitating this tough black culture. They wear the bling; they listen to the music; they talk the lingo. And, at the risk of being "classist", chavs typically turn out to be thugs themselves. The kind of "yobs" we hear about on the news come directly out of this chav culture.

But, as I have just outlined, chav culture derives from black culture in disaffected parts of the urban world. So therefore it is reasonable to say that the yob environment which currently afflicts Britain and America originated within the black community. Encountering these boys at the station today caused me to realise this.

As always, while this is a rule it does not mean there cannot be exceptions. Not all chavs and black people are by necessity thugs. But the fact that this culture's origins begin in the black ghettos is an un-PC truth worth knowing about.

Muslims Whine (*ahem*...sorry, WIN) Again

A New York University has forbidden the screening of a film about radical Islam by a Jewish student club.

The article makes references to two past instances at the university in which copies of the Koran were found down the toilet. Apparently, desecration of a book is a "hate crime".

And the overarching reason why they won't allow this film to be shown? You guessed it:

The school stepped in after receiving complaints from Muslim students that the film negatively portrayed Islam.

Islam wins again.

Moderate Is As Moderate Does...

The Guardian reports that Muslim worshipers are being urged by "radical" clerics to ignore British law.

But in one of those offhand contradictions these kinds of pieces so often include, we suddenly read this:

A forthcoming Channel 4 Dispatches programme paints an alarming picture of how preachers in some of Britain’s most moderate mosques are urging followers to reject British laws in favour of those of Islam.

What needs to be said is that most of those the mainstream media trump as "moderate Muslims" really aren't. There ARE NO moderate Muslims on the global media stage. There are no Islamic leaders who have publically denounced terrorism and jihad. There are no Islamic leaders who have publically urged Muslims to integrate into British society. Britain is suffering not just from an abundance of Muslim terrorists, but from an ABSENCE of "moderate" Muslims.

Well, well, well...

It turns out that pork soup IS racist, after all.

PARIS — A top French judge ruled that an extreme-right group cannot serve pork soup to the needy, saying the charitable handouts aim to discriminate against Muslims and Jews who don’t eat pork because of their faith.

Judge Christian Vigouroux of the Council of State, the country’s highest administrative body, said late Friday that such giveaways by the far-right group Solidarity of the French threaten public order.

Firstly, I wonder what evidence they have that this group is "far right"?

Secondly, look at this bit:

His ruling approved a decision by Paris police to refuse permits to the group on the grounds that such handouts could spark angry reactions.

Guess which of the two religions might react angrily. If you're not sure, just ask Jyllands-Posten.

Missing Something

Despite what the enemies of Islam say, particularly nowadays, and what impression some fringe groups of Muslim hard-liners advocate, Islam is a religion of peace, which prefers to live with all communities in an atmosphere of mutual respect and true understanding. However, Islam does not shrink from fighting a war imposed on it by its enemies. This could be by launching a straightforward attack on Muslim population or Muslim land, such as Israel did when it attacked Gaza and Lebanon in recent months, or by imposing some sort of siege, which prevents Muslims from advocating their faith through free speech. In fact Islam does not require from anyone more than the basic freedom of speech and conviction, which are as essential to human existence as food and drink. Without such freedom, man’s life will not be different from that of animals.

OK, particularly note the line which I have bolded.

Now look further down the page to the last paragraph.

Abdullah ibn Khatal used to be a Muslim. The Prophet once sent him to collect zakah from people who lived far away. He traveled with another man and a servant of his who was a Muslim. At one stage on the way they stopped. He gave the servant orders to slaughter a big goat and prepare food for him while he himself went to sleep. When he woke up, he discovered that the servant had not done anything. He killed his servant and, fearing the Prophet’s punishment, reverted to idolatry. He also had two slave girls who used to sing for him and for his companions songs full of abuse of the Prophet. The Prophet’s instructions specified that the two slave girls should also be killed. The man was killed as he was actually holding on to the coverings of the Kaaba. Abu Barzah Al-Aslami and Saeed ibn Hurayth Al-Makhzumi killed him along with one of his slave girls. The other managed to flee until someone sought a special pardon for her from the Prophet, which he granted.

Mohammed actually ordered slave girls killed simply for singing mocking songs about him. And the author of this article tries to hold this up as exemplary behaviour for Muslims.

Backwards Values

Here is a piece in the Guardian by Sarfraz Manzoor in which the author claims that rather than British Muslims integrating into their hosts' culture, as those of us who realise the inherent flaw of multiculturalism have been saying for years now, Britain should in fact integrate to Muslim values.

The worst part is this line:

As the clamour for British Muslims to integrate grows louder, it is worth remembering that, amid all the negatives arising from living inside a tightly knit community, there are also positives worth retaining - the greater the integration, the weaker the sense of community.

This is just so backwards. What breeds division and creates a low sense of community is allowing people from many different cultures to come into a historically Judeo-Christian country and freely trample all over it with their own ways. Immigrants from ALL races and cultures should adapt to the British way of life if they come here. Thus they become part of OUR community and not part of their own separate little niche. As things stand in modern Britain, minorities have whole regions and towns to themselves. Brixton belongs to the African-Americans, for example. Bradford belongs to the Pakistanis. And so on. Is this what Manzoor would call a "sense of community"?

I'm afraid this is really just one Muslim demonstrating Muslims as a whole - they refuse to integrate. They believe everyone else should be made to live their way of life. If they come here, they want us to change our customs for them. If we go to their country, we are also expected not to offend them with our piggish Western ways. There is an imbalance here.

Imbalance - that's the Guardian all over.

Even Pigs Can Be Racist...

OK, well, this is my first proper post, then, and we'll start off lightly, I think, but on-topic nevertheless.

A French court has overturned a ruling which would have prevented an organisation from offering pork soup to the homeless on the grounds that it was "racist" and discriminatory against Muslims and Jews, who are not allowed to eat pork.

What nonsense! It is encouraging to see such a silly ruling passed off, particularly by the usually sickeningly PC French, but how could anyone think this is racist in the first place? At the very WORST it is a bit negligent towards the religious beliefs of some, but how is it racist? All Rise For The Race Minister

Hello, I'm Ben and this is my blog, Race Relations.

I suppose I better give you the lowdown on why I am writing this blog and what it will be covering. In short, I will be writing about any current affairs or issues in which racism has occurred or is reported as having occurred, or where there is conflict between races. Stories of any kind will be covered, and you are welcome to email with any stories you would like to see covered, using the email address available in my profile.

The reason for this blog? Simple. In this modern age it seems that everyone "hates" racism. Racist murder is seen by the Western media (particularly that of my native Britain) as being somehow worse than regular murder - at least it appears so by the amount of coverage given in comparison with non-racist murders. Often, there is no sign at all that the murder was remotely racist apart from the fact that the victim happened to be black, for example. Similarly, racism by minorities on other minorities (which makes up the demographic of most TRULY "racist" murders) or minorities on white people are virtually ignored.

Now, I'm not encouraging or even condoning racism or murder. Being racist is ignorant and stupid. Murder is evil. I am simply saying, "let's have equal treatment for ALL races and let's put racism in proportion with the real issues". I anticipate that at least one commenter (if I get any) will accuse me of racism at one point. This cannot be helped but I assure you: I am not a racist or a bigot; I am simply analysing the world without the rose-tinted bias of the mainstream media.

Another thing: I am also going to stretch the limits of "race" by including religions in my blog, particularly Islam, which is seemingly at the heart of every global conflict at the current minute. I aim to expose some of the un-PC truths of Islam as a religion, namely that it encourages mass murder, hatred and intolerance in its followers in a way unlike any other major world religion. The spate of Muslim terrorists and suicide bombers over the past few years are only following Mohammed's orders and are not "extremists" as the media would have you believe. I aim to explore this and to comment on stories where Islam is involved.

I will occasionally break all this serious analysis up with more light-hearted and off-topic posts, but that's pretty much the brunt of the sort of topics you can expect to find here. I hope to post at least five times a week and often more, but please accept that this is not always possible. I likely won't be posting at weekends and I will try to inform you if I will be unable to post for a given period of time in the near future.
