The Delicious Irony of Intervention

Australian Aboriginal people are suffering hardship and racism because of federal intervention in the Northern Territory, a senate committee has been told. And yet I'm sure that had there been no "intervention", the aborigines would have claimed they were being neglected.

You've also gotta love this line: "Indigenous communities were also reluctant to speak about the impact of the intervention for fear that it could jeopardise funds for infrastructure, housing and health, according to the Darwin Aboriginal Rights Coalition (DARC)." Rich.
