Positive Discrimination Alert

Grammar schools will be ordered by the Government to take more pupils from poor and ethnic minority backgrounds. They will be publicly exposed in area-by-area reports and told to adjust their intakes. They ultimately face being referred to admissions regulators who are being handed sweeping powers to demand 'fair' access.

Yes, yes, that's the spirit. Don't base your admission policies on how bright or promising young people are - if you work that way, you won't be able to fill your quota of migrants and "disadvantaged" minorities.
